The Department of Transport and Planning (DTP) has added metropolitan train station platform numbers to the stops.txt file in GTFS Schedule dataset(opens in a new window).
Third-party journey planning apps can use this data to show users which platform train services are arriving at and departing from. This will help passengers better plan their journey no matter which tool they use.
This addition to GTFS Schedule dataset also provides passengers with the information they need when buses replace train services. Journey planning apps can now show bus replacement routes and stop locations on roads.
